A framed portrait of Althea Warren would be very much at home in Leslie Knope’s office (if it weren’t for Knope's comic hatred of librarians). My carefully researched biography tells the story of Warren's stellar career as: head of the San Diego Public Library, 1916–1925; president of the California Library Association, 1922; head of the Los Angeles Public Library, 1933–1947; director of a nationwide book drive for GIs in WWII; and president of the American Library Association, 1943–1944.

5.5 x 8.5 inches. 20 pages. B&W interior with vintage photos and my illustrations. Card-stock cover.
